Challenge is Over

As you know, I have been on a two week challenge with Automatic Body. Today was the last day and I thought that I would share what I learned.

The challenge combined eating right with several workouts that pretty much covered the whole body. That’s what made this challenge different from others out there. More well rounded and didn’t just cover workouts. It’s what also made it more fun and easier to stay with.

So what did I learn? I learned a new way of making a salad that can be made ahead of time and is portable. I also tried a new vegetable, spaghetti squash, and found that I really like it and will certainly have it more often. I used the requirement to make videos while performing the challenges to get more comfortable in front of the camera. I made three videos that I would not have made otherwise.

About the workouts. They really opened my eyes. I think that I’m in pretty good shape for my age. I’m active and healthy. Those workouts though were very challenging for me. I had some difficulty with balance on some. Some I just couldn’t do at all. I made it through though…how? I modified. I held onto a chair or railing when I needed to. I used the wall for bracing myself when on the floor. I stopped and took a break and then went back to it. I will work on the exercises because I found out that I need to do that. I need a stronger core and I intend to get that done.

Why am I telling you this? Because lots of people enter into challenges like this and quit when they find out they can’t do something. They don’t think to modify it to their level. You can’t get better by quitting. Believe me, it’s way more satisfying to find a way.

So I completed it. Am I sore? Yeah I am. Will I carry on? Yeah I will because I’m not a quitter and I found a weakness that I can correct.

Until Tomorrow!

I'd love to hear from you.
